Toss
Drop anything mid-drag and pick it up wherever you land. Files, photos, links and text, held on a glass shelf at the edge of your screen.
Version 1.0.0 · macOS 26 or newer · Coming to the Mac App Store
What it does
- Start a drag anywhere and the shelf slides in to meet you.
- Drop files, photos, links or text on it. Drag them off again wherever you need them.
- Everything is copied onto your Mac, so the original can move or close and the item stays.
- Press ⌃⌥⌘T to show or hide the shelf from anywhere.
- Put the shelf on the left edge or the right edge, whichever suits your desk.
What it does not do
Toss collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry. There is no Toss server. Everything stays on your Mac.
The one exception is honest and small: when you drop a web link, Toss reads that page’s title so the item has a name. The privacy policy explains it in full.
